You tube- I found some videos I thought I would be interested in and found foul language and rude content. I was not impressed. I watched several different ones trying to give them a chance and all of the ones I watched would stop and then a minute later start again. In the past I have seen You tube clips that I enjoyed and that didn’t stop and start. But during my hour of investigating the website It is real easy to find offensive things than to find any good ones, therefore I do not want to waste my time trying to find the needles of good stuff in the hay stack.
Hulu and Fancast- Nope I wouldn’t use either of these sites, the adds during the movie are short but annoying. I would rather rent the movie and watch it on a bigger TV screen than in a hard chair in front of my computer.
I have seen a You tube clip for a library that I enjoyed in the past, but I couldn’t find it again when I went searching. Do they expire? I don’t know. The only way I think for a You tube site to be of benefit for a library would be to have it on the library’s blog or website. Trying to find clips on Youtube.com is a pain, and when you start one that seems completely harmless you can often find offensive behavior inside. Contents are not rated, it’s enter at your own risk, you never know what might pop out at you.
